MAJIQ is pleased to offer PLC Programming and Support Services. MAJIQ brings over 30 years of experience to help improve the safety and performance of your roll handling systems. MAJIQ can perform a complete audit of your control system and develop a prioritized plan to improve or upgrade your system within your budget constraints. MAJIQ will also train mill personnel how to maintain and troubleshoot the system and ladder logic. Many customers have taken advantage of the progressive discount offered for scheduling our multi-annual service visits.
Service Visits
Service visits with MAJIQ can be an effective strategy for keeping a finger on the pulse of your PLC system. Scheduled visits are coordinated with your available “window” to provide an ongoing review of your system’s performance and condition.
Service Visits include the following:
- System Audit: The system audit includes a complete review of the associated PLC code. The detailed analysis of the system will focus on the overall performance and safety of the associated equipment.
- Observe Operation
- Examine specific issues that need addressing during the site visit.
- Punchlist of items accumulated by the mill can be addressed in priority order.
- Observed issues are recorded and reported to the mill. Issues are reported with suggested changes to remedy the issues.
- Preventative Maintenance Inspections: Working with the mill’s support staff, identify changes small and large which will help minimize potential future maintenance issues, safety issues, and outages. The changes could be to software, hardware, and/or processes.
- Service Report: The Service Report is developed and provided to the mill following the conclusion of the Service Visit.
- Recommendations: A prioritized list of short and long-term recommendations are included. These recommendations come from experience with new and proven PLC technology, best practices, and general knowledge of mill requirements and priorities.
- Annual, Semi-Annual, Tri-Annual, and Quarterly contracts rates are offered. The successive visits will reflect a discount over the standard service rate.
System Upgrades
System upgrades range from minor changes, replacing aging hardware, to complete rewrite of the PLC programming:
- PLC hardware upgrades.
- PLC application upgrades (i.e. automate label or head application)
- Interface changes and upgrades
- Drive changes
