JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAJIQ, Inc. (Redmond, WA) is seeking an entry level .NET Developer to join our staff in the continued development of our Elixir™ application. You will work closely with senior Product Engineering managers and other MAJIQ developers in extending Elixir™ in all aspects, including UI/UX, Web Services, and Process Automation & Business interfaces. A strong working knowledge of our customer’s core business is essential, which you will gain by troubleshooting, correcting, and documenting software defects reported by internal and external sources. With that knowledge you will also participate in the proposal, implementation, and delivery of software solutions that meet our customer’s ever-changing business requirements. MAJIQ’s development teams practice Scrum and Agile processes and are comprised of no more than 4 team members. This means you will be contributing immediately to the success of the product.
Leading candidates have the following qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, small-team environment.
- Focus on Customer Satisfaction.
- Entry Level, up to 2 years experience developing Windows applications in a modern object-oriented language such as C# or Java (.NET 4 Windows Forms development preferred).
- Foundation in OO principles and concepts.
- Analytical approach to requirements gathering and problem solving.
- Relational database principles, including experience with MS-SQL.
- Working knowledge of software development life cycles.
- Willingness to travel to customer facilities to work directly with customers to define/refine functional requirements.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Developing Web Services in .NET
- Oracle RDBMS
- IIS/ASP.NET
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to learn quickly, be self-driven and to work well across teams, disciplines and cultures.
- Willingness to learn MAJIQ’s software and about the pulp and paper industry.
- Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment, and to manage own work assignments and schedule, multi-task, and re-prioritize assignments as priorities shift.
- Passionate about work and learning new things.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
For up to 8 hours per day you must be able to fully utilize standard computer equipment, required programs, phone, and office equipment. You must be able to lift and carry a laptop computer.
